We're transforming Compressor House into a vibrant community hub for digital skills, arts and events.
A Historic Industrial Landmark (Built 1914)
Originally constructed as a cold-storage warehouse for the Royal Docks’ global shipping trade, this red-brick building is a locally listed structure that retains remarkable original features.
A Community Hub in the Making
The Royal Docks is being transformed into a multi-functional landmark destination featuring a café, advanced digital facilities and a large event space with capacity for up to 500.
Focus on Digital Skills & Culture
The site is set to become a key part of the Royal Docks’ ambition to be “London’s cultural engine.” It will prioritise digital inclusion by offering skills training (linked to the Newham Sparks initiative), alongside a diverse programme of arts, music, performances and exhibitions designed to serve the local community and visitors.
